Margate Transport Services, a diversified transportation company, is expanding to San Francisco.
The company, which is headquartered in San Diego, has been a leading supplier of truck transport services in California for more than 30 years.
Margate will open a new 100-unit truck fleet at its new headquarters in San Francisco’s Financial District.
The new truck fleet will be capable of transporting 1,000 trucks per day, Margate said.
Margate will expand to the San Francisco Bay Area and the surrounding areas.
Margates fleet will also include trucks from companies such as Uber, Lyft, Ola, and LyftX, Margates CEO Dan Cordero said.
Margacy also will partner with the San Diego County Board of Supervisors on a plan to develop a new transportation network in the region.
The move comes on the heels of a $4 billion investment to upgrade Margate’s truck fleet to better handle the growing number of drivers and other passengers who require truck transportation.
Margare’s current fleet is designed to handle approximately 8,000 to 9,000 vehicles per day.
