A bus transportation company has started a campaign to get diversified buses and train services in New York City.
A group of students at the City College of New York has created a blog called TheBus.org to help get diversification buses in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.
The blog has raised $1,000 in less than 24 hours, with $1 from each donation going to the students.
The group also announced it will begin a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo for a “diversified bus service” to get buses to the Bronx.
The blog, titled “The Bus: Diversified Transport in New Yorker’s Capital,” says the diversification of bus transportation services is “a vital necessity for New Yorkers.”
“We want to give people the ability to get to work, school, and play anywhere they want and anytime,” the blog states.
“This will benefit the community, improve the quality of life for people and their families, and create jobs for the next generation.”
The group also says diversification is essential for the health and well-being of people and the environment.
The group hopes to get its diversified services up and running by the end of March.
